where it started
In 1984, G&A Transport made it's way onto the industrial site in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. An aircraft hangar with an accompanying 5 acres of land was purchased from the Ministry of Defence, with the vision of creating a large storage yard in the middle of the Peak District. This yard has been used to store everything from vehicles to furniture since then, with G&A Transport taking on the haulage side of A.K. Transport in 2009, running an accompanying haulage firm from the yard.
what we do today
Today, G&A Transport still operate a number of lorries, if you're local you may have seen them on the roads in and around Ashbourne. G&A Transport also offer a number of storage solutions, everything from dry indoor storage inside the historic aircraft hangar, to private storage in containers and outdoors storage, perfect for vehicles which need a place to stay.
G&A Transport are now expanding their operations and are in the process of building units on-site, which are perfect for businesses to use as workshops or a building to run their operations from. The end vision is to be able to accommodate a wide range of businesses on site and the yard to become a thriving business park.
There is always a number of items on sale through G&A Transport, which can be found on our For Sale page, this can include everything from lorry parts and IBCs to office chairs and desks.
